Hans Lucas

Hans Lucas was a pseudonym used by Jean-Luc Godard when writing criticism during the 1950s for André Bazin's magazine ''Cahier du Cinéma'', as well as for the magazine Godard founded during this time, ''Gazette du Cinéma''.
The name Hans Lucas was used in the credits of the 1955 film ''Une femme coquette''. Godard produced, directed, and acted in the film as Jean-Luc Godard, but wrote the screenplay, photographed and edited under the name Hans Lucas. The credit is also used for his appearance in Jacques Rivette's debut feature ''Paris Belongs to Us''.
